I’m from Venezuela and I can use Skyfire even with GPRS/EDGE. There’s no need to do a trick to change the IP.
I registered with a number from the US. I’ve found it at http://www.mobilephoneno.com/
Then I’ve recieved the email and clicked on the link to download it. There the page asked me for a password of my choice. After that, I downloaded the app.
The only thing is that the browsing is slow on EDGE, but with WiFi is awsome!!!

Thanx it works but… UCWEB browser is same fast like this app, u cant download with skyfire i tryed zip and rar dont work and the server goes most time down.
