To get this software through your device, select Applications > SW Updates and choose the software you want to update. Additionally this software release is available through the Nokia Software Updater at www.nokia.com/softwareupdates.

This software release comes with camera enhancements. Face detection and red-eye removal features are included, and fine detail of images and close-up mode are improved. This release also includes Ovi Contacts 1.1, so you can see where your friends are and what they are doing. A new gaming catalogue is included, with the Dance Fabulous game preloaded in your device. You may be able to automatically receive the latest application and firmware update suggestions directly to your Nokia N86 8MP. Go to Applications > Software Update. Alternatively, this software release is available through the Nokia Software Updater.

There will be a planned maintenance break, during which time the Nokia Software Updater service will not be available. During the maintenance break, customers already downloading software may not be able to update successfully, but customers already updating their device will be able to complete. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

This software release enhances general software maturity and stability. The software release includes: stability and functionality improvements in the following areas: browser, camera, calendar, messaging and VoiP. This software release is available through the Nokia Software Updater: www.nokia.com/softwareupdates. Please note that if you have encrypted your device or memory card, decrypt it before the software update to avoid possible data loss.

This software version includes an updated USB Driver which brings improvements in Nokia Software Updater performance. This release also includes a fix which enables the Nokia Software Updater application v1.4.14 to self-update.
